“The Great Escape” – M1NE study
[black edition] / [white edition]
The artworks are based on Belgian coal mine data (orientation, shafts, tonnage, etc.) processed and rendered by custom open source software (Processing) into a graphical image of dots and lines representing 7 super-imposed mines. The result is an artistic data visualisation -and digital file- materialised by printing techniques and traditional painting.
