Rising Tides – Topos#1

One of the most urgent challenges facing the world’s largest cities: sea-level rise resulting from global climate change.

Global sea levels have risen about eight inches since 1880, and scientists predict they could rise two to seven feet more by 2100, explains Climate Central. If global warming trends continue, even greater rates of sea level rise are possible in the coming centuries.

De Wilde created imaginary landscapes, seemingly mega cities, that fell victim of rising sea-levels. The landscapes are 3d printed and CNC milled.
