Chrysalis
Chrysalis is part of the PUPA project in collaboration with the University Ghent.The project researches biomimicry, design, pattern making, software development and 3d printing.
Chrysalis resulted in several designs based butterflies pupa as well as a prototype software which allows multilayered printing.
Germ Layers: Layers of cells that originate in the developing embryo and become specific structures.

A rudimentary 3D interface to graft the conceptual ideas on existing models (proof of concept).
Conceptual exploration of different multilayer morphologies.
Aesthetic exploration of surface detailing. The cellular approach can be recuperated to generate a number of textures.
